Much needed rest
What a wonderful day I had today. Normally, I am ripping and running with a mile
long things to do list. Between Evans football practices, spanish classes,
bowling, our weekly mommie and son date, and Hannah clinging to my legs every
second of every day, playgroups and Sesame Street and Barney on rotation I
rarely have me time. Today, I decided that I would attend church via streaming
satellite in my robe, slippers and hot java. I made strawberry and cream
muffins, enjoyed every sip of my coffee while Evan and Hannah played around my
feet. I cooked a delightful dinner, slept and did absolutely nothing else.
Sometimes you just need to chill, relax and take in the view, even if it is the
one of your living room. When I say I enjoyed today, I enjoyed today. I danced
to my own tune, sang as if I was Whitney and laughed hilariously at a series of
email exchanges with someone who is just a fool.
I just glanced at my calendar for tomorrow, conference call with my publisher, a ton of emails to respond to, calls to make and more to do. I reminded myself to stay in the moment and turned my calendar over. I have 3 hours and 42 minutes left in this day and I am going to relish to the final hour. Tomorrow is for tomorrow and this is my today. I have another dance to dance and another song to sing.
