Ummmm.

I am enjoying where I am on my road. It is amazing how far one can travel in just a short amount of time. As a travel, I am taking the time to smell the roses. Life is just sweeter, almost like I am experiencing it without the skin on my body. There are no buffers or walls up, no defense mechanisms, just me, open, vulnerable and exposed. Dangerous, some say. That is cool. I prefer to live freely with the risk of injury than to live in a cage with the reality of misery.

It took me an hour to eat dinner yesterday. My dinner companion was looking at me thinking "Why are you still eating?" I answered the question they eyes posed. I was still eating because I was savoring the flavor in my collard greens with smoked  turkey wings drizzled with hot sauce, I could taste all of the five cheeses in my banging macaroni and cheese along with the butter, milk, and relished the way the egg held it all together, the baked chicken literally fell off the bone and the juices from the rotisserie danced across my plate. The honey glazed peach muffins, LOL, I think I had three. After dinner, I sipped a glass of champagne and indulged in the latest book I am reading. What is the occasion, you ask?
Me. I am the occasion, life is worth celebrating.

Today, I selected my signature flower and studied it (I will share more on this later). Although it  was freezing cold today, I found a place in my sun room to sit and soak in the rays. Before I knew it, I felt like I was in my favorite spot on the beach in Miami (boy do I miss Miami). As I closed my eyes I remembered all the times I would drive the coast with my hair blowing in the wind after work, I tasted the salt in the water and the wind kissing my face. Baby Face serenaded me and I found myself dancing, smiling and singing. Who knew life could be this good in my very own living room?

I am so committed to relishing, celebrating and enjoying every breath I take, every moment I have and every day God blesses me to see.  Take in your view of you today. Find something to dance and sing about in YOU. Do not expect others to provide something for you that only you can produce. True joy and happiness comes from within you. Go ahead, dig deep and pull it out. I dare you. I double dare you.

This thing is for sure. Once you do, you will never again be the same and every view from your life will be a good one regardless of what you see.
